PLASU Online Admission Application 2025/2026 – Merit & Non-Merit Lists

PLASU PLASU

The Plateau State University (PLASU) has released the 2025/2026 admission list for candidates who applied for undergraduate programmes. This list contains the names of applicants who have been offered provisional admission to study specific courses at the university.

If you are waiting to confirm your admission status, this guide will help you understand:

  • Types of admission lists (Merit and Non-Merit)

  • Differences between them

  • How to check your PLASU admission status on JAMB CAPS

1. Categories of the PLASU Admission List

PLASU publishes its admission list in two main categories:

a) Merit Admission List (First List)

The Merit List contains the names of candidates admitted strictly based on academic performance and merit. These are students whose scores significantly exceed the departmental cut-off marks.

Example:
If the cut-off mark for a course is 245 and a candidate scores 360, their chances of appearing on the merit list are much higher compared to someone with 255.

b) Non-Merit Admission List (Second List)

The Non-Merit List includes candidates who:

  • Passed the general JAMB cut-off mark

  • But did not meet the specific cut-off for their chosen course

  • Were still offered admission in related or available programmes based on institutional capacity
