About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Assistant Controller will play a key role in financial statement preparation, payroll oversight, accounts payable/receivable management, and budget monitoring, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Assist the Controller in ensuring all financial tasks meet deadlines and quality standards.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.

  • Post journal entries and manage the month-end and year-end closing process.

Operational Support

  • Act as a liaison between the Controller and the Director of Operations.

  • Track incoming payments, invoices, and expense transactions.

  • Monitor and report on stock levels.

  • Manage payroll documentation and ensure timely processing.

Budget & Audit

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), GAAP, and relevant tax regulations.

Cash Flow & Bank Reconciliation

  • Maintain bank account reconciliations.

  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funding for operations.

  • Support sales and project financing activities.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5–7 years of accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.

  • Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and tax principles.

  • Proficient in bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and cash flow management.

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
