About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support the Controller in managing the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Assistant Controller will play a key role in financial statement preparation, payroll oversight, accounts payable/receivable management, and budget monitoring, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting

Assist the Controller in ensuring all financial tasks meet deadlines and quality standards.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and external stakeholders.

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations.

Post journal entries and manage the month-end and year-end closing process.
Operational Support

Act as a liaison between the Controller and the Director of Operations.

Track incoming payments, invoices, and expense transactions.

Monitor and report on stock levels.

Manage payroll documentation and ensure timely processing.
Budget & Audit

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.

Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), GAAP, and relevant tax regulations.
Cash Flow & Bank Reconciliation

Maintain bank account reconciliations.

Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funding for operations.

Support sales and project financing activities.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: 5–7 years of accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.

Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and tax principles.

Proficient in bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and cash flow management.

Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
