About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to manage our financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and ensuring that our financial records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Identify and correct inconsistencies in financial statements, including the balance sheet.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all financial transactions.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve revenue and reduce costs.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements while adhering to company policies.

  • Assist with state and federal reports, payroll processing, and tax returns.

  • Support administrative functions such as scheduling financial meetings and managing communications.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

  • Conduct bank and petty cash reconciliations.

  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and trial balance evaluations.

  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring expenditures, budgets, and debt collections.

  • Handle financial controls to prevent shortages and ensure cost efficiency.

Analysis & Support

  • Conduct periodic financial analysis, audits, and ad hoc reporting.

  • Prepare QuickBooks entries and ensure accounting software records are accurate.

  • Support management with relevant financial insights for strategic planning.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting or financial management.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience in construction billing or industry-specific accounting is an advantage.
