About Moshi Co-operative University (MoCU)
MoCU was officially established on 4 September 2014 after the former Moshi University College of Co-operative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS) gained full university status.
Its history dates back to January 5, 1963, when the Co-operative College Moshi was founded under the Ministry of Co-operatives and Community Development to train personnel in the co-operative sector. The institution became a constituent college of Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2004 before attaining full autonomy as MoCU.
Location & Facilities
MoCU is located in Moshi Municipality, Kilimanjaro Region, along Sokoine Road.
It operates through its main campus in Moshi, the Kizumbi Teaching Facility in Shinyanga, and 13 regional offices across Tanzania, including Moshi, Tanga, Shinyanga, Mwanza, Dodoma, Tabora, Kigoma, Mbeya, Iringa, Songea, Kibaha, Mtwara, and Singida.
